Startup Junkie Adds Springdale Office at Fairlane Station

Beginning this July, Startup Junkie consultants will start meeting with entrepreneurs, innovators and small business owners in Springdale at Fairlane Station. The organization will operate an office in the modern industrial event venue from Monday to Thursday and will begin taking appointments at the new location as early as July 16.

“We look forward to the chance to meet with Springdale area entrepreneurs and small business owners in their own backyard,” said Haley Allgood, Startup Junkie executive director. “With an increased presence in the region, we can further our mission to help improve the lives of Northwest Arkansas residents through entrepreneurship and innovation.” 

On Tuesday, July 16, Startup Junkie will host an open house at Fairlane Station, inviting the public to see the space where they will regularly meet with clients and hold monthly entrepreneurial events. The open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. and will include informative presentations led by members of the Startup Junkie team.

Northwest Arkansas Startup Crawl Returns to Fayetteville September 13

The Northwest Arkansas Startup Crawl will return to downtown Fayetteville on Friday, Sept. 13. The third annual festival honoring the region’s budding entrepreneurial community will once again bring together startups, live music and locally brewed beer. 

“We’re excited to bring together some of Northwest Arkansas’ most innovative startups to one, central location where the community can learn from and engage with founders in a fun environment,” said Caleb Talley, director of marketing and events for Startup Junkie. 

The event, put on by Startup Junkie and local sponsors, will kick off at the Arkansas Research and Technology Park at 4 p.m., on Sept. 13 and will feature a number of companies that call the Park home. A band will perform outside, and local beer will be served to paid attendees.

Startup Junkie Teams Up with NWA Naturals for Startup Night at Arvest Ballpark

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Startup Junkie and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals minor league baseball club will collaborate this summer for the first ever in-game pitch competition at Arvest Ballpark. 

This summer, three finalists will be chosen to have their video pitch submission broadcast during a live baseball game, as the Naturals take on the Midland Rock Hounds. The fans in attendance at the ballgame, which will be held the night of Aug. 29, will be given the opportunity to vote on their favorite pitch. The winner will be invited back to the ballpark on Sept. 2 where he or she will be awarded a check for $1,000. 

“The opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their idea during a live baseball game will provide great exposure to new ideas and hopefully inspire new businesses to be created from the event,” Startup Junkie Executive Director Haley Allgood said. “We're combining innovation with our nation's past time in what I know will be an evening of fun for everyone involved.”

Startup Junkie and COX Media Partner for Four-Part Summer Marketing Series

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Startup Junkie and COX Media have partnered for a four-part summer series on marketing for startups and small businesses. The series will help attendees better identify their direction, their audience, their story and their strategy. 

Each session will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at One East Center, in downtown Fayetteville. Sessions will be held on the second floor of the facility, outside the Startup Junkie offices.  

“COX Media is excited to partner with Startup Junkie on this four-part series taking entrepreneurs on a journey to help them discover their purpose, define their customer, craft their message and plan their next steps,” said Cheri Harrison, media consultant for COX Media.
